Project Description

Metalcraft of Mason City has seen continuous growth within their 62-year-old manufacturing company of identification products and solutions. To accommodate for this growth and after a flood damaged their current facility in 2008, the leadership team at Metalcraft took action to relocate and expand their operation. Hired as the design-build team to help with the expansion, Dean Snyder Construction along with their subsidiary, ATURA architecture, broke ground in early October 2012 on Metalcraft’s new headquarters located on a 6.7 acre site in Mason City, Iowa.

Going from a three-story building to a new energy-efficient, one-story pre-engineered metal Ceco Building Systems 46,000 square-foot building, the new Metalcraft facility will create an effective work flow for the company and accommodate further growth. Nearly 35,000 square-feet was dedicated to the manufacturing process with 11,000 square-feet for offices and administrative use.
