“Project manager and job site superintendent were excellent. Detail-detail-detail, always communicating and engaging. They maintained a safe work site as a big priority, also. Would love to take these guys on our next projects.”

Project Description

DSC was awarded the contract for the fifth phase of the Mason City High School, grades 7-12, facility remodel project. Started in June 2012, DSC remodeled two floors in the north high school wing at 40,000 square-feet a piece, replacing all interior finishes, adding new ceiling lights, adding two sky lights, and providing the space with modern heating and cooling. Also included in the remodel is the relocation of the media center to this wing, adding an elevator, and building a roundabout in the east parking lot. This is a $7.83 million project was completed in the summer of 2013. Students continued classes as usual in unaffected areas of the school.

Upon completion of that project, crews started on another project at the high school, consisting of remodeling the front entry/check-in area to make it more secure. This was completed before students returned to school in the fall.
